Hou is a breath.
A sacred name. A mystery. A remembering.
In Sufi mysticism, Hou (هو) is the divine itself—
not a form, not a figure—just the essence.
The sound of presence. The exhale of God.
The answerless question: Who are we, really?
This circle was born from that space.
From my own healing. From the realization that many of us are moving through life
longing for softness… and too afraid to ask for it.
So I asked.
I thought a few people might respond.
But many did.
And in that response, I felt it:
Something sacred is ready to be born.
What is Hou?
Hou is a sanctuary. A circle.
A soft place to land when the world feels too hard. A space to feel what’s true without needing to fix it.
A space to be seen without needing to perform.
We gather in presence.
We breathe, we speak, we stay.
We listen to the parts of ourselves we’ve silenced for too long.
There is no hierarchy here.
No “healer” and “healed.”
Only human beings returning to the sacred within.
Who is Hou for?
Whether you’re raw, tender, grounded, or somewhere in between—
this circle is for you.
What Happens in the Circle?
This is not therapy.
This is not a program.
This is a return—to the sacred space within you
that’s been waiting to be held.
Why the Name “Hou”?
In the Sufi tradition, Hou is one of the most intimate names for the Divine.
It is breath. Essence. The sound of truth without words.
It is also a reflection of the English word “Who”—
the question we carry inside us:
Who am I when I’m no longer pretending?
Who am I when I’m safe to feel?
Who are we, really, when we show up in truth?
Hou is not an answer. It’s the space to ask—together.
We Are Hou
We are not here to fix you.
We are here to sit beside you.
To remember with you.
To exhale with you.
This is just the beginning.
We start small.
We stay soft.
We listen deeply.
If you feel the pull—stay close.
We are building something sacred.
From presence. From love. From breath.
We are Hou.
And you are home.
